Before we start, I want to mention that some of the links included in this blog are affiliate links. It’s important to note that I only partner with companies that I love and personally use or have tested myself. If I recommend a product or service, you can trust that it is something I truly believe in.
It seems like finding the perfect font combination for your new brand or design should be easy, right? You should immediately know when you see them, that they belong together in perfect little font harmony…
Yeah, it doesn’t really work like that, choosing a font pairing is more like choosing the perfect partner, you have to look through tons of profiles, and then personally try out a few bad choices before you find the right fit.
That’s where I step in. Consider me your font-fairy-Godmother, I’ve done the dirty work for you and tested out a bunch of my favorite fonts on Canva.com and picked the BEST FREE FONT COMBOS FOR ANY BRAND STYLE.
If you’ve read some of the other posts I’ve shared, you know I’m slightly obsessed with Canva, their premium subscription has been a total game changer for me, but their FREE SUBSCRIPTION is pretty impressive as well, and for most small businesses the free platform is all you need to create cohesive branding and marketing pieces.
A couple of quick tips you can use RIGHT NOW to elevate your brand fonts.
1. You don’t want to use more than 3 different fonts for your branding. Too many different fonts quickly make your branding look unpolished and messy. Choose 2–3 fonts that you really love and that look good paired together (like the ones below, wink, wink.)
2. Make sure your fonts are legible. It doesn’t matter how pretty your font is, if your audience can’t read it, then it doesn’t do you any good.
3. Script Fonts should be used sparingly. I am a self-proclaimed script-font-stan, but using too many script fonts or using one script font too much throughout your branding/design can be very distracting. Instead, choose your favorite script font and pair it with a sleek serif or sans as your main font. When creating your brand designs, you will want to use your script font just enough to complement your main font.
No matter what your personal + branding style is, I have a font pair that will feel like the perfect match. Don’t forget to download my FREE CANVA FONT PAIRINGS handy printable one-sheet guide, so you can refer back to these anytime you want.

Helping others reach their dreams is my love language (well, that and chips), so what dreams are you holding out on? ‘Cause I’m ready to show you how you can make them a reality!
