About Becci
TLDR: Running a business while raising a family? Yeah, it’s a wild ride. BUT… you don’t have to lose your mind to do both.
Set real boundaries (and actually keep them), manage your time like a pro with resources like a CRM, take care of you before your inbox, and stop pretending you can do it all alone. Delegating, outsourcing, and protecting your peace aren’t luxuries, they’re the key to your survival as an entrepreneur.
Your business will only grow as much as you do, so treat yourself like the CEO you are.
If you are anything like me, you’ve tried answering client emails while making dinner or use that precious time after putting the kids to bed to squeeze in just a couple more hours of work? Been there, done that. Balancing a creative business with family life can feel like a chaos on steroids.
Set Boundaries:
First thing’s first: Say it with me…BOUNDARIES! Set clear work hours and stick to them. Create a dedicated workspace, even if it’s a cozy little corner. Let your family and clients know when you’re available and when you’re off-duty. You deserve some downtime!
Time Management Hacks:
Time management is your secret weapon. Prioritize your tasks, or schedule blocks of time (my favorite, when the time is up you move on to your next task). Decide what needs to be done now, and what can wait? Use tools like planners or time trackers to stay organized. Schedule work and family time to avoid burnout. As a business owner with ADHD I approve this message.
Self-Care for Entrepreneurs:
Don’t forget to take care of YOU. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle, but your well-being is crucial. Schedule breaks, get enough sleep, and make time for activities that recharge you and your creative soul. I even recommend for those I mentor that they schedule a monthly treat for themselves. That could be as big as a spa day, or as having a little coffee date with your bestie. Remember this business of yours only thrives when you do. A happy, healthy you = a successful business.
Leverage Support Systems:
You’re not a superhero, even though you act like one most of the time. The biggest tip I can tell you is to learn to DELEGATE and lean on your support network.
Finding balance is a journey, not a destination. Be kind to yourself and remember, you’re doing an amazing job at both business and family life.

I’m a Cali girl with a touch of Southern roots, currently falling in love with Oregon. I’ve been known to wildly chase dreams, especially the “crazy ones” … Ask me about that time I made my family travel the US in an RV for almost 3 years!
After a decade of running a successful photography business, even while traveling full-time, I realized, almost by accident, that my real love is helping other small biz owners navigate through the usual hang-ups that come with running a business. From custom branding + web design to business organization, CRM set-ups + marketing (think monthly blogging and email newsletters), I am with you every step of the way. Helping others with their dreams is my love language (well, that and chips), so what dreams are you holding out on? ‘Cause I’m ready to show you how you can make them a reality!
