“Create a brand and a website that truly felt like her“
Although you’d never have guessed it by looking at her work, Paige came to me last year as a newer photographer hoping to create a brand and a website that truly felt like her. She didn’t have a website and had received most of her sweet clients from her socials and word of mouth. She was just starting to dabble in using a CRM and was trying to choose a pricing structure that really suited her need for work-life balance, did I mention she’s a WFH mama to 2 little boys (soon-to-be 3).
She came to me as a brand-new business owner who admitted she felt like she was ‘flying by the seat of her pants!’
Her business was growing faster than she could manage at the time. She had a CRM, but she wasn’t maximizing what it could do for her business, and she was realizing that she needed to prioritize finding some work-life balance.
I wanted to help her create a brand that felt like her and show her how to take her small biz from overwhelming to automated, giving her back more time with her family. Because in the end, the goal is to create a business that runs so well on its own, so you don’t have to spend all your time tied to it.
A few things I learned about Paige that helped me create her project + organize her business.
- She is a truly genuine soul. Her sincere & laid back personality makes it easy to love hanging around her.
- She wanted clients that she could connect with, so it was very important that we created a brand that showed her personality, as well as her talent + photography style
- She loves to bake – check out the very subtle nods to baking throughout her site.
- Her family is her world, but (as most of us know) running a small biz by yourself with 2 little ones climbing all over you is not easy. She felt off-balanced trying to do it all. We needed to put some tools in place to make her client process more automated, so she could spend less time in front of the computer.
