My #1 trick to get a response from clients who ghost you after seeing your prices, is so stinking simple that you will swear there’s no way it works…BUT IT DOES!
We all get ghosted at least a couple of times by clients once they see our pricing. It’s just part of the game. And if you don’t get ghosted, I can almost positively tell you, that you aren’t charging what you are worth.
Ok, let’s say a client recently inquired, and you sent your initial inquiry with all your pricing info, and it’s been 4 days since you’ve heard anything…
All you have to do is send a short and sweet email, checking in on them and seeing if they have any questions. Yup, that’s it! It’s really that simple. Tell ’em, Moira…
Wanna make it even easier? Create a template “check-in” email already set up in your CRM, then you literally just have to hit send.
#1. It is not uncommon to have your initial email correspondence with a new client go to their spam box. Sending this little “check-in” email is an easy way to make sure they are getting your emails in their inbox.
#2. Life goes from zero-100 very quickly sometimes, so there is a very good chance that your client just got distracted and forgot to read or follow up to your initial email. This check-in email is a reminder for them, while also making you look like a total pro with killer customer service.
#3. Sometimes, inquiring clients just aren’t a good fit for you or your pricing. Oftentimes, this check-in email gives them a chance to say “No, thank you.” Which is totally ok, booking as many clients as possible IS NOT the goal. The goal is to book the RIGHT clients at the RIGHT price point that works for your business goals.
PRO TIP: When a client tells me “No, thank you” I always send one more email telling them that I totally understand, I am here if they ever need my services in the future, and I ask if it is ok with them if I add them to my VIP Email List, so they can be the first to know about upcoming specials. They almost always say YES, so you have turned a “No” into a “Maybe in the future”.
